Our Story

Welcome to Meadow

Searching for an endless summer.

Meadow is an online shop based in St Albert in Western Canada. All prices are in Canadian Dollars.

We handpick all of our items for their beauty, craftsmanship and integrity with a strong preference for slower fashion and brands that care about their impact on the Earth.

Our goal is to bring you coveted pieces in effortless silhouettes that can live in your closet from one season to the next. We are sun seekers and heat hunters but also brave the cooler seasons (don't stress - we have pieces for that too).

Meadow honours and acknowledges that we are on Treaty 6 Territory - the ancestral home of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, Nakota, Sioux and Métis people. We honour and respect the histories, languages, cultures and teachings of First Nations, Métis and Inuit People.

Meadow is a member of the St.Albert Chamber of Commerce.

A letter from our founder,

A caucasian woman with shoulder length hair stands outside in a yellow floral dress that hits above her knee. She has one hand extended onto a fence and the other on her hip. She looks directly at the camera.

Many of you ask where the name Meadow comes from, and I thought I would take a moment to explain.

I grew up with parents who loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean. As a young girl when I spent time overseas, sailing the ocean; I developed an affinity for the salt, the beach, the heat and the water.

Being landlocked in the Alberta prairies, Meadow seemed like the closest thing to the ocean. While I would have loved a name representative of the salt and the sea, when you close your eyes and think of a meadow, what do you see? What do you feel?

For me, it's the same sensation when think of an ocean; the ebb and flow of the water on the sand. It’s the peaceful and calm movement that I crave. Whether it’s the tide stretching in and out or grass blowing in the wind; it’s free, vast and deep. It’s somewhere else, hot under the sun.

Meadow is my prairie ocean. And I’m so glad to share her with you.
